The SHIFA-ANA Project, conducted in collaboration between Koç University’s Anatolian Civilizations Research Center (ANAMED) and Rutgers University-Newark, is preparing to hold its second workshop titled “The History of Death and Disease in the Mediterranean World” on June 15-16, 2026. Following last year’s first workshop, which focused on the history of death and disease in Anatolia and attracted considerable interest, this year’s event aims to broaden its geographical scope and address the entire Mediterranean world from a comparative and interconnected perspective.
The deadline for submitting abstracts to the workshop has been extended to March 15. For more information, please see the PDF below.
