The historic oil mill in Mustafapaşa, one of the important centers of trade, art, and culture during the Ottoman period, is once again hosting a cultural and intellectual gathering as part of the “Oil Mill Conversations.” Supported by the Cappadocia Research Center (KAM), the event series aims to bring historical venues together with contemporary academic discourse.
This month’s guest will be Prof. Dr. Kürşad Demirci, one of the leading names in the field of History of Religions. The talk will take place on Friday, December 19, at 8:30 p.m.
The event will address Christian belief systems shaped within the historical fabric of Cappadocia, the development of early Christianity, and the reflections of this belief system in the region. Shedding light on an important period in the history of Christianity, this talk is open to anyone interested in the subject.
