The Restoration Story of “Little Cappadocia”

On April 4-5, 2018, in collaboration with the Cappadocia Research Center and the International Relations Unit Coordination, a workshop titled “The Restoration Story of ‘Little Cappadocia’” was organized with the participation of Technical Architect Prof. Antonella Guida and Assoc. Prof. Graziella Bernardo from the University of Basilicata in Matera, Italy. On the first day of the workshop, seminars were given to students of the Architectural Restoration Program by our university faculty members and guest lecturers, and various field studies were conducted. On the second day of the workshop, a panel open to everyone was held, where Antonella Guida and Graziella Bernardo, along with Nevşehir Museum Director Archaeologist Murat Ertuğrul Gülyaz and restoration expert Architect Aslı Özbay, gave seminars on restoration, conservation, and cultural heritage.
