On Thursday, April 21, an interview titled “Reassessing the History of the Plague in the Days of Corona” was held with Associate Professor Nükhet Varlık. The interview, which lasted approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes, was conducted live on the Cappadocia University YouTube page, moderated by KAM director Şükran Ünser. Varlık, who works in the History Department at Rutgers and the University of South Carolina, has written numerous articles on plague epidemics in Ottoman history. She has also written four award-winning books on the subject based on her research. She shared her extensive knowledge with members of Cappadocia University and anyone interested in the topic.
